Hey all,

So I have an '06 XB9 and loving it. Unfortunately I recently attempted to squeeze it and my car into the same garage and I pretty much mangled the left-side air intake (not sure if this is officially what it's called) and now it looks like crap. The outer housing area snapped off when the assembly was squished and I *probably* could have saved it but the glue I used melted it, so long story short, I'm either looking for an OEM replacement (couldn't find anything American Sport Bike, Buell Parts, etc.) or an aftermarket option. Hell, I'll over-pay the local OC Harley dealer if they have it.

So question(s) is/are:
What's the part # for this product, or is there an aftermarket option?

I've attached a pic of what I'm trying to 'fix'.

Thanks in advance-
-DD

There were some carbon fiber ones out for a while, they were not cheap. Not sure about new parts, but take a look on eBay and down in the for sale section.

AIR SCOOP ASSEMBLY,ram (body black) part #M0902.02A8MBE--as quoted from a 2004 parts manual and should be the same as the 2006. Try searching fleabay as they are numerous and plentiful. While you're at it, invest in the right side scoop (Al at American Sport bike has those) as they will greatly assist in cooling and somewhat balance the appearance of the bike. Hope this helps!

Thanks guys, this info is EXACTLY what I needed. I'll reference the part # and start on ebay-

@Meggadeath- That's a killer idea about a right side scoop, however: On a cursory inspection it looks like there is important 'stuff' that takes up most of the right side- Was this an OEM option and does it fit properly, or what's that about? I'd love the symmetry but I'd rather not relocate or mess with too much stuff on my commuter. She needs to run under all conditions, lol.

Thanks again!

Right side large scoop replaces right side small scoop and on my 9R nothing was in the way. It does make the commute cooler.
