Thought I'd share some pics of my bar install. The bike's an 07 Stt and I put Pro-Taper School Boy Hi bars on it with a set of eBay chinese bar end mirrors. I wanted to retain the handgraurds and not drill them out so I turned up these little bar ends that would provide a place for the mirrors to mount as well as a button for the guard to grab onto. I should have taken more pics, but the bar end is tapped and there's a piece of M8 allthread up in it. Over that I slide a piece of 5/16 fuel line and a nut. All that acted like a rubber expansion plug up inside the bars. I have not ridden it yet, but the feel is great and I like getting rid of the big factory mirrors (although they did work well).    | ||

Can anyone provide a comparison between the stock mirrors and bar end mirrors in regards to rear view capability? I find the stock mirrors to work well, they just don't blend in well with bike. (OK, they're ugly).Was trying to avoid spending $$ and installing bar ends to find out I have very limited rear visibility. | ||
