Picked up an 08 lightning wreck that needs a swingarm. Can an earlier swingarm be used or do I need the 08 version. The oil line routing looks different, but surely someone on the site has tried this.?

Please verify what I say, but I believe the 2003 to 2005 swingarm uses different oil lines than the later model swing arms. So if you get the older style swingarm, you will need to replace the oils lines.

I do know when I got a replacement for my 2004, I had to get an earlier swingarm so I could use the oil lines that I had on the bike.
