I installed the OEM large right side air scoop today. It looks good from a distance, but looks way unfinished up close, especially from the top.
Looks like the whole inner piece is missing and only half a scoop is attached.
I'm surprised nobody here has mentioned its cheesy appearance before, since we are mostly a vain lot.
I bought it to be cooler, and cooler. LOL
Hope it works way better than it looks.

Pegasus right scoops match a lot better but are way too expensive for me, over $200 on ebay.

Fishxb12, you are so right about the appearance, but the roughly $250.00 delivered price is way over the top.
Since mine is a daily rider I bought the Buell OEM parts. Hell, I didn't like paying $60.00 for about one dollars worth of cheesy plastic that looks way unfinished.
Does it work? The weather has been real flaky here, but so far the fan has been real silent, and that's what I bought it for.

Designed by the "elves" that designed the bike-so I trust the function. I have one on both my XB9 and my XB12. They do exactly what they are supposed to do-increase cooling. Form follows function in my opinion.
