I'm having a hard time finding a stator for my firebolt. Is there any kind of harley model that is compatible with our bikes? If so what is the part number? Are there any great sites online where i might be able to find one that would fit my bike?

I have found this site but I'm not sure which one works for my bike.http://www.jpcycles.com/2008-buell-firebolt-xb12r/ stators

You might try this web site about 2/3 of the way down r/h side. http://www.roadstercycle.com/

they say it fits buells except 1125CR

I have contacted that company and he sells stator upgrades but you have to replace the volt reg an redo wiring. I was looking for something closer to OEM.

Out of the many ones on this site there has to be one that fits our bikes.

There are two different stators for XB models depending on what year you have

03-07 models: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/17167.html

08-2010: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/17567.html

How is the OEM older stator 3 phase and the newer bike model is single phase?

They switched to a lower capacity single phase starting with 08. I'm not sure why, might be reliability, might be cost, might be weight (less rotating mass on crank).
