I recently picked up an 07 Uly that has undergone some mods. Mainly suspension. It was lowered a bit. The PO didnt have much info on what exactly was done, but mentioned a "kit for europe"... anyone got any ideas what that might be???? It looks to me like the forks were moved up in the triple clamps, but I dont have another Uly handy to reference  Also the spring on the rear shock looks a little suspious, like its overly compressed possibly. Also noticed the wheels are black, I assume this means they came from an XT... but again cant be sure. Where black wheels available on the 06 Uly??? Im thinking not. Last thing is I found appears to be a loose sensor connection??? not sure. Pics are attached for reference if anyone cares to chime in with their thoughts on each question. The forks might be up and that's definitely not a stock X rear spring (they are silver in color). It looks like it may be a progressive wound spring. The disconnected "sensor" looks to me like the cable to the muffler valve. | ||

Welcome. You will probably get better answers over at the Uly board... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/142838.html?1381058285 The pic of the cable does look like the actuator cable for the muffler valve. It normally comes down from the servo on top of the inner airbox on the left side, crosses between the cylinders to the right side and down to the muffler valve. Congrats on the new bike! | ||

My XB12Ss has a black shock spring, which is what it could be. Also, I don't think your forks are moved up. Unless you have risers, there isn't any room to move them up. |
