2005 Buell XB12R

Engine tear down and this piece broke off in the engine. need to order replacement but have not idea what it is called and can't find it anywhere!!

I just need a part #

Also, Do I have to split the block to replace this? I really don't want to have to do that.

Engine overheats pretty bad and I believe this is the reason why.

I did find all the peices so I am good there but couldn't find that part #. Thank you so much!! Do you know if I can get out the bottom screw without splitting the block? Think I will have to either way

I believe that is the 'piston oil jet' assy. Designed to spray oil on the bottom side of the piston for cooling purposes.

My '08 service manual shows that piece being held on w/2 fasteners, one at the top (that you can see in your photos) and one at the bottom. I suspect that the flywheels will prevent removing the bottom fastener, so case splitting will be necessary.

Sorry, don't have a p/n available. And hopefully someone here who really knows will chime in.

Thanks Dave and Hogs. I figured I would have to and 22265-00y is the correct #.

Wish me good luck.

While we are on the subject. do you know what specialty tools I will need to take out clutch trans and split the block?

Hating my life but the engine gets so hot it is un-ridable
