Not much has been going on recently since school is taking up most of my time but here is one thing I just finished.

The intake plumbing from the turbo to the throttle body had a 45deg silicone coupler that sat inside the left side air scoop and connected the lower 2" aluminum tube to the upper 2" tube connected to the throttle body.

It functioned just fine as the charge tubing but the silicone elbow blocked off all air flow through the scoop to the rear cylinder.

I decided to try "ovalizing" a 45deg 2" dia mandrel bend and after a couple tries it came out pretty good. The oval shape reduces the width of the bend where it sits inside the left air scoop and opens up a clear path for air to the rear cylinder.

I used a o-ringed V-band clamp at the lower connection and the intake plumbing is now two pieces instead of three with a silicone coupler at the turbo and the modified factory throttle body boot at the TB.

It fits really nicely and I am awaiting a new left side scoop to cut a new hole in that will close up the gap between the bottom of the scoop and the plumbing.

I also swapped out for a newer, more compact and higher flowing Turbosmart blow off valve a while back. The final picture is of the AEM X-Wifi unit mounting. Here are some pictures:

Some of you may have seen on my website but I am waiting on material to machine the parts I designed for a cush drive on a XB 3 bearing rear wheel. It uses 6 Ducati cush bushings and requires the rear wheel to be modified. I will post pictures of the parts and install as soon as I get it going. Here are some shots of my Solidworks design:

Do you foresee any problems with the BOV hitting the airbox cover with the pressurized air? Are you worried about possibly cracking it at the screw holes?

Thanks, Teeps!

Afpreppie04, The airflow out of the BOV is very small and is not a concern at all. Even when the throttle closes at high boost and high rpm the airbox cover isn't disturbed the slightest by the air out of the BOV. My airbox cover is the original one from 2005 and has been through many BOV events and R&Rs and it is still as strong as ever: ).

Cool, that is good to know. I'll tuck that little piece of knowledge away in my "maybe someday" corner of my brain.
