M1,

This is some serious breakdown. Typical of the Buells. Major. Pure Major. Now I understand why people go with the Japanese machines.

Maybe Squid can chime in and tell us how bright his tail light is, or how FAST it comes on, or how much longer it will last?

more likely, it would be something like "i will show it to you someday cause its all you will see of my bike"

My co-worker suggested BA... He says their twelve-hundred-and-three step program should have me on an R1 wearing nothing but a wife beater and shorts by the end of the year.

He says if I stick with it for an entire year that as a reward they'll send me to a class that will teach me how to wheelie through traffic. The induction phase is riding down Hwy 40 from Cali to wherever in the heck it ends. I hear there's only three turns the entire road. I think this is just what I need.

They told me that the FIRST step is to head to the local in-n-out burger to hang with the rest of the squids for therapy. I'm just so glad there are teens out there who care about me AND have bikes with more power than 16 of them can use. I'm really looking forward to this. Thanks for your support guys.

It's not too late for YOU either... Get out before you blow a fuse!

BTW Donnie... I DID get stopped. It was a real wake up call (and the officer was NOT cute, but he did ask a lot of questions about the Buell).

Oh, no! I may have made a mistake! This is a conspiracy engineered by the ITALIAN manufacturers!

THE BULB WAS MADE IN ITALY!

OH NO! The white van just showed up (with a black Italian chopper)! It's TOO LATE!

My bulb went bad at 2500 mi! Premature failure, I think they should recall the bike! Consider yourself lucky to get 7k miles our of yours.

Strange though it cracked at the tip of the glass 1/3" crack.

I've been all the way to the edge of my bulb and only noticed a little bit of flicker. Picked up a light stabilizer even though I don't really need it for the street. With the light dampner in place I've notice the contact patch has changed, so I've decided to go with synthetic at the next change. Found an entire case of 12oz synthetic ohms for $100 sterling, is this a good price?

I got wind today that the factory is considering a recall over this unexpected failure. Look for a service bulletin soon.

Well, of course this is due to Buell using antique technology air-cooled bulbs. All the modern bikes have lightweight, water-cooled bulbs now which put out much more light.

Water intrusion into my tail light housing has popped about 3 bulbs. I would switch to waterproof LED's if they were a bit brighter.

Chain...the newer LED's are waterproof & very very bright.

If I remember, when I get home today I will take a couple pics so you can see the difference between just the tailight & when the brake light is on. I have seen setups for the Buells & the LED's are great.

Water intrusion was the culprit here too.
