So..I am thinking of organizing a Buell gathering here in Lees Summit, MO the first Saturday of October. A friend of mine owns a bar and will host the gathering with free hot dogs , burgers, etc. Plenty of dedicated parking with a patio view, no one will touch your bike. Open to ALL Buell's, except the Blast. Oh, alright Blast's too. I realize we are spread out all over the world, but though it would be nice for some of the Midwest folks to think about. Just running this up the flag pole to see... So? Would you attend? | ||

OK. I have had several responses of varying interest from the 1125R, Ully, Tube Frame, XB and Thumper boards on BadWeb. Anything from “ maybe”, “I would but I cant”, “name the time”, “sold my Buell”, “what’s there to do?”, etc. There were also responses related to weather and short notice issues. First off, thank you all for your input, greatly appreciated. With the above responses in mind, I would like to postpone the meeting until sometime during the Summer of 2014. This will allow time to plan more for the event, put together some scenic rides, interesting destinations, cool activities and sponsorship interest to make it more inviting for all. This will also give you the time to think about and/or plan on using your valuable time to attend this event. Most likely will extend it to a two day event, there is plenty of lodging and camping near by. I can offer indoor secure parking at my shop for those who don't want to leave their bike out at night. So, I am going to move this thread to the Storm Fronts section to centralize it to a single thread and see if there is enough interest to make this thing viable. Also I have asked BadWeb if they will give me a dedicated section in Storm Fronts to consolidate the discussion. We will see if that pans out... In the mean time here a few questions: What Month would you likely attend? What would be a deal maker for a gathering? What would be a deal breaker for a gathering? Are you even interested at all? Hit me with some ideas and suggestions, if it looks promising, then I will float some hard dates to vote on and set it up from there. PM me if you like, and I will respond quickly. Just an FYI about me, I don’t do anything on the cheap and I will put up the financial and time commitment necessary to make this a worth while event for ALL BUELL riders and enthusiast alike. I am that serious about making this a reality and I promise this will not be a light weight event. Obviously if no one is interested then I will let the thread wither and die, much like HD did with Buell  One more thing..... If any of you local and not so local folks would still like to get together on Saturday October 5, 2013 at Doc’s Tavern in Lees Summit MO at 2:00PM, please PM me and I will make sure we have our own parking, and I will ask the owner to offer some specials. At least a few of us can meet and toss back a few “pops” and trade war stories. Just need a head count so again, please PM me... Well there does not seem to be much interest for a big Buell gathering in Lees Summit... No worries... I will be at Doc’s Tavern, Saturday October 5th at 2:00PM (weather permitting). This is just a local get together nothing special planned, just thinking it will be nice to shoot the sh*t and look at bikes. Bike not running? Come up anyway. I would love to attend a Buell rally gathering if it fit in my sched. that weekend I'm headed to Davenport to pick up a new Lab puppy.. hope to find one next summer.. see ya there. | ||
