Author Message   Gsxr1k Posted on Friday, June 14, 2013 - 05:49 pm:        Who is interested in a Steering damper for the XB including the Ulysses? I spoke with GPR out of San Diego, CA today. They only need a loaner bike for a couple weeks to fab up a kit. Repayment for this would be a free damper system. They are close to one that would work on the XB's with the Firebolt and 1125CR ones they offer. Apparently someone left a Ulysses with them awhile back that they were working on a design with but the owner took it back before GPR could finish. I would but I'm over 1,000 miles away. I've ridden my Ulysses everywhere. It was the first and maybe only Buell to complete a BDR (Back country Discovery Route). WABDR specifically, Utah BDR this year! (YouTube it!) These bikes need dampers. Both for high speed sweepers on the steet and adventures offroad. Call GPR at 619-661-0101 and ask for the lead guy in Tech services and design. Any takers? GPR said the parts would have to be different. Not sure how much different. Are any of the triple clamp parts interchangeable between the lightning and Uly? I've been searching for one to my 08 Uly too, and finally landed on the underslung from LSL. They're listed as not fitting the Uly 2008 and up due to the increased steering angle, but this is easily overcome by limiting the angle by gluing a small square of rubber cut from a sheet (I used about 1/8" thick, maybe a little less) on each side of the limiter on the frame/triple tree. Works like a charm, my '08 has never been more stable, love it!   Stickr Posted on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 - 09:36 pm:        I emailed GPR yesterday and Randy said they would need an 08+ Ulysses for a couple weeks to finish fabrication. Is anyone with an 08+ Ulysses that lives in the San Diego area willing to drop off their Ulysses? Id be willing to help reimbursement to you for the cost of being away from you baby for a couple weeks.
