What would cause the Neutral light to stay on even when in gear?
Also been blowing ignition fusses.

Neutral switch, it's just in front of timing cover and is a direct replacement with the sportster. Had the same issue a few years ago.

Yeah, just unplug the wire at the switch, then turn the ign on. If the light is out, the switch is bad.

If the light comes on w/the switch unplugged, the problem is elsewhere in the harness.

Probably has nothing to do w/the ign fuse, though.

yeah if its grounded it will do that so check it out before replacing parts.

Thanks everyone! I pulled the front the cover off. Had what i believed was a pinched wire. Also had a bad connection under the seat including a lose ground that connects to the seat rail. I had the harness completely out of the bike last year when I disassembled the entire bike for black powder coating. Guess some connections loosened up after riding for a season. Seems to be good for now...
