Well finished a video for my recent build, Calling It Dirty Street Fighter, and it Came Out Good, there are still Some more works in the process, I Did Figure out the Inexpensive Steering Damper on a xb9sx city. It works very well no problems, about $60.00 or so And it runs like a ripper now. Went into a true chop and Bob Tail Section, and it Worked awsome. All Modifications are parts cheap, labor rich, They work and I think it came out like some futuristic rock-a-billy sled, But Dirty Street Fighter Is the only appropriate title, Watch the video and You will See Why.
Me personally I think it's the best budget build you could ask from a person, its ok to disagree, just not hate and bring about a ill fate.
Please go to link let me know what you think.

I really like this setup:

Yours positioning looks god but I myself would prefer it completely out of the way, also wonder about that bracket being stable enough for proper function but props for doing your thing

Yea the bracket at first, I was wondering the same thing. Work with heavy equipment, so there's not much faith in aluminum. But It worked solid, If it Didn't I wouldn't of posted it. So serious, it works. The only error was using aluminum rivits. They did loosen after first ride "sh!t gotta figure"
Well added a new hole with screw and bolt. Solid, good as stamped from a machine from billet, or close. You can see the screw with the paint, Preliminary error after repair better than new. I cant explain the ride difference, people were saying this and that, proof is in the pudding. Before damper riding bike at top end XXX the bike showed speed vibrations, not quite wobbles, but enough to lock the muscles up and pull the seat cushion out of the puckered hole.
Its good damper being under engineered from what I understand. If you throw the wheel up and ride a wheelie, if your steering damper is to tight landing could f#@k your day up. So in theory if it bends easy, the crooked front wheel landing will take it out on damper and bracket. Locked wheel landing, sounds like a killer, Better to rebuild damper sys. than whole bike.
I guess I should have a ride video, but I got it done, and worked on learning soft-ware for video. I can put up a ride video when spring rolls around.
The only way to make the damper better is to tig weld the aluminum. It would be perfect, but what do you do if you first want to see if it works, before arguing with some welder about his price.

Read the end of that fourm page 5

"After two weeks of trying to figure out what was wrong with my bike it all came down to this mod. Because I mounted it to the isolator bolt it effectively turned my rubber mounted engine into a frame mounted engine causing extreme vibration between 2000-2600 rpms.
I dont know if Miked718 has experienced similar symptoms, but I would not recommend mounting the damper using the drawing it posted earlier."

The guy had a serious system going, after all that trouble too. Been there will go there in the future, Mr. Murphy in co-op with Satan. they fu*k your sh!t up, lurck in every dark corner, it makes a person paranoid. Feel like a meth head looking out the window all the time. There out to get me, There after me. etc. etc.

Thanks for the posts, it feels good to talk actual bikes. Go figure
