Does anyone know the XB9 years where the airbox covers are interchangeable? I have an 03 XB9S currently. I'm buying an 07 XB9SX with a crack in the cover and am wondering if they are the same. If not, I'm wondering which years I can look for on eBay.

Congrats on the new ride!

I don't remember the exact year but '05 or '06 timeframe they started putting a wire grill in the front of the cover just above the gas cap. These can be used on all years. Shouldn't use a non-screened one (your '03) on a screened one (your new '07) unless you make the proper adjustments.

All XB and 1125 covers will fit. Starting in 06 the inner air box was changed and they added an intake to the outer cover. The newer outer cover will work regardless of your inner air box.

+1 on what froggy said - I have at times had an '03 firebolt and a '05 Lightning cover on my '07 uly. The '07 cover bolted straight up to an '09 1125R......

Glad to hear it - guess I'll be keeping a close watch on eBay. I'm hoping to find a black cover but can always have it painted it necessary.
