hey gang,

when I turn my key on, the gauges cycle, then the headlight turns on. 2 second delay or so. I haven't noticed this before.

Normal?

Could be the relay starting to wear out. Tried checking that?

Do you have a regular / stock headlight bulb?

Or do you have an HID / Xenon setup?

Some of the relays are the same and you can swap them around... I believe the headlight relay was one of them, but I'm going from memory from the last time I had it apart.

Check the connector going from the bike wiring harness to the headlights. Mine was getting loose, and would do the same thing. It finally got bad enough to diagnose, and I discovered a partially melted connector from the heat generated by arcing.

I "spread" all the springs back out, and it's been fine since then.

ahhh yes.... i forgot about that one as i've been focused on my current idle problem.

mine actually does have a short in it for the high beam. I always have to give it a wiggle. Maybe it's spread to the low beam now....
