Are the 2004 XB frames and swing arms painted or powder coated?

Thanks

Powder. Buell hasn't used a drop of paint since the last tuber rolled off the line, everything is powder coat for metals, and molded in color on plastics.

Ral is a brand of powder coat.

I have never seen a list of what manufacturer or what colors the factory used, but you can find some close matches in the aftermarket. GrandStand Designs has a blue that is a doppelganger for the Hero Blue rims.

The matte grey frame from the XB was powder coated with a powder supplied by Tiger Drylac. It was a custom color that was created for Buell and was named Charcoal. I used to be able to get small quantities of it but since Buell was disbanded a few years ago they stopped manufacturing the color. I've inquired about getting it made but the minimum order would need to be 250lbs. A typical XB frame uses about 1 - 1.25lbs.
