I'm installing a 2007 xb9 engine into my 2005. What are good things to replace while I'm in there? New gaskets, header studs etc? I'd like to just put in one big order to American Sport Bike and get it done. It's been parked too long!!

Front and rear engine mounts, oil and filter, O rings on drain plugs, check clutch cable and replace if needed, spark plugs, PCV seals if needed, clutch inspection cover gasket. Other gaskets if you have a leak or just want to do work would be rocker box gaskets.

Maybe pull the oil pump and check the drive gears, you would then need the oil pump gasket. If you really want to get into it, change the fuel pump strainer and fuel filter. Probably need new pump O rings for the body and fuel line.

Lube throttle cables.
