I went to two of my local bike shops (bicycle) today after I got my TPS reset and found a great performing mirror. The owner actually gave it to me free as it was a return but it was still new! Wow- a great transaction with my dealer and a free mirror all in one day; I should go buy lottery tickets in Florida!!!! I left my stock mirrors on just to compare and it vibrates just as much as the stock ones but it has a slight cateye view to it (hence the name- Cateye!) so I can see a good bit more. I didn't have to move my eyes or head anymore than the stock ones. I got it up to 85...er.....55 and it worked great. I asked him if I liked it could he order another one and he said yep, $6.00 a piece!! I'm gonna order 3 more to have some spares. Plus it looks 100% better...... |

I used to race mountainbikes while I was stationed in Germany and bought all of my gear, parts etc. thru Colorado Cyclist. They have a great website. You could also go on the Cat-eye website. If you can't find any let me know quickly so when I call him tomorrow or monday I can bump up the order number and I'll send them to you for what I paid and what it costs to mail them. They are very light so it shouldn't be but a few $$. let me know, I'd be happy to help you out. Maybe just try a good bike shop near you too...............odie |

One thing I like about my new mirror is that the front end really disappears without the big Mickey Mouse ears sticking up in front of me. Feels even more like a dirt bike. A neighbor of mine stopped by and said "Hey that's not your Harley". I said well, sort of.........He then asked if it was a dirt bike or a road bike!!Ha |

I have been riding my wife's SV650 the past week and one thing is the mirrors are horrible. These would be really cool and worth the price for my cheap wife. |

Called the bicycle shop today and told him to order me 3 more. He said great, he would order 5 more in case any of my friends wanted some after they saw mine. He'll have them wednesday. He said he could get as many as I needed. $6.00 sure beats CRG's or whatever they are that are like $90 a pop.............. |

Grab a pair of pliers and pull out the stock plug and put in the new one so that when it is adjusted where you want it the stalk is pushing on the housing so it doesn't move back any further. You'll see what I mean.....I took 5 minutes and I was done. I can't wait to get my other one wednesday; I hate not seeing behind me. |

I was going to email you tonight. I watched the postman go down the road one way (live on a cul-de-sac) and patiently awaited his 180. Stopped at the box and kept on drivin'!! Bummer. Guess it will come Monday. No big deal. It's gonna be a little bit before I can get the Drummer made. Hope not too long because I'll want to cut it open with a plasma cutter and do some work myself!!!!! |

If any one is looking for Napoleon bar end mirrors... I have 3 pair. I bought a lot at a sale and the mirrors were in with them. They are more expensive that the Cat-Eye... but some like them better. I have them on my XB... and love them. They retail for about $65.00 a pair before shipping and/or tax. If anyone is looking for a set... ping me... they are hard to find. Fifty a pair, plus shipping as cheap as I can get them to who ever may want them. It is a matter of preference... and there is nothing wrong with the Cat-Eye... I just thought I would throw this out... just in case there is someone out there looking for the Napoleon and can't find them. I am not a retailer... I just had to get four pair to get the one pair I wanted... and I am trying to break right on the deal and get a good home for the 3 pair I have. (formerly dasxb9s) |
