What is the best procedure to insure the gas tank vent is working? Any way to do so without running the bike? Where is the most likely failure spot?

Thanks, couldn't find anything with good ol' google.

Open the gas cap and try blowing air thru the vent hose. If air moves freely thru the vent valve, I'd say it's likely OK. If there's any kind of back-pressure then there's likely a restriction somewhere and it needs further troubleshooting.
