I tried posting in the Knowledge Vault, but nothing.
Can XB shocks be rebuilt?
Does the compression and rebound adjustments go from full on to full off (that would eliminate a valving change)?
Has anyone here gone through an extensive rebuild with one?
I'm doing a project build, and the sTT shock I have is the perfect length and stroke.
Thanks for any help.

It's a sealed unit (the rear shock right?) so officially the answer would be no.
On the other hand I do know Traxxion re-builds rear shocks for Buell, and when you get it back, it's fully serviceable.
So it can be done, I don't know what all goes into taking one apart, or what Traxxion does to it once they get it apart...

I searched traxxion's site and saw nothing about Buell.

So, I sent an email of inquiry...

I'm going to call Max at Traxxion today. I want to find out if I can isolate the compression to one fork leg, and rebound to the other, as well as the shock info.

There are shops that rebuild them. There is one in Ft. Worth, TX., but the name escapes me. I have read of others but never used any of them.

This link may help a little.

I tried for weeks to do that, for the same reason. That and the local shock guy wanted a sample before he was sure the shock could be overhauled.

I talked to Max at Traxxion Dynamics. They dont rebuild the Buell shock anymore. They prefer to replace it with a Penske unit. I will call Dave at Fast Bike Industries. Maybe he rebuilds them.

Did you fellas get the shocks apart? Results?
