Just had my TPS reset at my local HD/BUELL dealer.
Just walked in, out of the blue, talked to the Buell tech and asked when he could do it. He said "shoot that will only take a couple minutes,
I can do it right now". So service wrote me up, and TPS reset took 2 min. to do, 1/2 hour to process paper work and a service bill of $14.00 and I was d-o-h-n done

My dealer just charged me $57.60 for a TPS reset. But hey, at least they are getting friendlier!

"You want kissy kissy? $20 extra!"

Glad to hear you have a good dealer, Zip. I know they are out there, and in fact mine IS getting better. Maybe it's all the TPS profit they're starting to see...

Shoot, I thought $32,00 was reasonable, but the three week wait for my scheduled appointment, and the two days it took to get done bothered me a bit

Wow...Think I will run over to Hal's and try and get me one of those $18.00 resets along with an oil change. Seems cheap at twice the price. LOL

Hmmm, I was just at my dealer yesterday. No appointment, got everything reset, and while he was on the test ride, was talking to one of the guys that works there (about Jardine's problems, no less). I had mentioned the Drummer to him, and he wanted to see, hear and check it out. He asked if I'd had it dyno'd with the Drummer (He'd just done his Jardine and noticed a 2+ hp DROP from stock). Since I hadn't had it dyno'd, he asked if I had time, and I said "sure". Anyway, several dyno pulls later, he's impressed with the Drummer, my bike is all reset, and I'm ready to head home. The best part is I didn't get charged a cent for any of it! Here's another kicker -- the dealer guy showed a bit of interest in the possibility of selling the Drummers on the showroom floor ; )

I've ranted about this dealer before (regarding their fee schedule for performing tire swaps), but this time, they did go over the top in customer service.

Called the dealer yesterday and got an appointment for today at 3. Walked in and left about a half hour later. $17.33!! Throttle response is better and doesn't cough as much when twisting the throttle quickly at low RPM's. Very good deal in my opinion. My dealer is making me happier with every visit. Hope it continues.......
