"I'd love to see what Erik would come up with if given free reign!"

Look closely at the 4-cyl 2-stroke he did up if you have a chance sometime.

Sometimes one works with what one has, then something else comes along before the bugs get worked out and what one had in mind gets put on a shelf in a barn.
Life goes on, some roads are bumpier than others.

if you think a Buell can cook your right thigh, can you imagine that thing?

Uhm...yes as a matter of fact I can, since I have as I said before ridden a Norley. Granted it used a Shovster engine, was limited to 4 speeds, had high mounted pipes and still had the fairly long Norton wheelbase, and as I said it isn't in the XB's league for handling, but it wouldn't suprise me one bit to find it handles very well. Much better then you are giving it credit for. As a weekend canyon bike I would give it high marks, as a trackday bike...eh, not sure about that one.

Understood, what I meant was, I love to see Erik's dream bike, no limitations.
THAT would be way cool!

Hey Mikej, thanks for the links by the way, ya think it's because of the accident that Scott Zampach is left out of Buell history a lot?

No, I think the Z-man story goes beyond that.
For the rest of the story you'll have to find someone who will actually finish a story they begin to tell....

I'd like to SEE what he'd build...not sure I'd have the stuff to ride it!

I don't.

Scott Zampach figures into Buell history in a special way, not only as a rider but as a person.

He, in my PERSONAL opinion, is the embodiment of "Buell people" in that he's "just plain nice".

I met him for the first time when I'd just bought a 1990 RS1200 and he was in Topeka racing. I, to this day, have met few racers who made me, as a simple owner, feel so genuinely "part of Buell".

Scott is highly thought of. Remind me......

Same story I get around here, when I asked what happened to him, or why he left.

Yeah, I spoke with Scott several times during his short stay with Hal's. Left a gap when he left there. Good people usually are.
