...who have a little more knowledge or experience on the subject than myself. I have been contemplating the "Nallin-ization" of my XB9. I have heard that the guys at Nallins are better than just good. And I believe that with the extensive background these guys have I think it would be a wise choice. Anyways... I was thinking Stage 2 engine kit... 1050cc cylinder and piston kit, Stage 2 head prep, inj. controller box.... I am not looking for overkill. I don't want to have my cases bored. I still want it to be streetable. Has any done this? Are there any "charts" out there? Feedback on NRHS? Curiously planning the winter project.... Rich  | ||

Another idea would be contact Hoban brothers. They wont bs you & they definitely know their 5hit when it comes to Buells. | ||

Blake, I looked at Cycle-rama before and I wasn't really impressed. There was something on there about Buell work but nothing broken down to show it. (Or at least I didn't see it) I want lamen's terms. I want to be things the be explained to me like I am a child so that I get full and complete understanding. I don't want it to be taken for granted that I know what I'm doing. The small details bite you in the ••• harder. I don't like those things left out. Not that I don't appreciate the advice, Blake. I liked the fact that NRHS's site broke it down and said "Buell XB9 headwork, 1050cc Kit, XB case boring." Not just an eight month old note on a page saying that they are working on it. To me, that makes it sound like they (Nallins) would have more interest in my wants. That's why I am asking. I am unaware of who is going to have quality and service that I am looking for. If I'm going to shell out that kind of scratch for some go fast goodies, I am going to do my research and of course, I am going to be picky. Rich edited by evil_twin on July 27, 2004 | ||

Blake...you arent familiar with Hobans???? They have only been on the racing circuit for years. Evil, they are indeed right here in Wisconsin & no they arent a sponsor but they still do killer work. They have Dave's seal of approval as well. In fact I believe they will be at his sportbike day coming up as well as going to attend the track day in aug at Blackhawk. | ||

Evil; give each of them a call and explain what you're looking for. I know both Aaron (Nallin) and Pam (CycleRama) personally, and neither will give you the run-around. Both straight shooters that will go above and beyond to make your wish come true - all it takes is a plan and $$  That said, I'm sure Hoban (I know of the name) do a great job as well based on the recommendations of others. Let me tell you about my recent experiences with NRHS. These people are some of the best that I've ever dealt with. I don't have a ton of experience with real high performance V-twins, and they have been more than willing to answer every one of my questions whenever I call. I am getting the stage 3 1050 engine kit from them and my brother built an 88" Buell using NRHS parts. I also bought my Force exhaust from them and when I couldn't get Force to respond to me. I was getting worried about having to dump a $1300 exhaust system, Aaron offered to at least try and help me fix it if Force would do nothing for me. I don't have any experience with Hoban brothers and only limited contact with Cycle-Rama, but my experiences with NRHS has exceeded all of my expectations. They are a good company with good people that know plenty about how to make these bikes go . | ||

I really do appreciate all of the comments pertaining to my options. Does anyone have any experience with the fit and finish?. I like that Hoban sells Millenium. I know the name. I like that. I had heard of Axtell but still never saw them anywhere. I will make some calls and see what comes up and who I talk to on the phones. Thanks for all of the input! Rich | ||

And Dyna...I really want to ride your R1, but Dave says he will be very gental with it as he does not want to throw it away??? I threw away my sportster at Blackhawk which in turn ended my racing career. Broke many pieces inc. my eardrum from hitting head so hard! Witness said the flying sportster missed my head by 6" and that was a heavy bike! Can I ride the R1?? | ||

i've talked w/ each and have been impressed and it has helped me in my racing, and work choices. i have alsotalked to milennium cylenders which i think is a good place to search info. bottom line. call and speak with them. there are people behind the sites. | ||
