Hey, i live in cold raining seattle : ( but despite all the weather problems we have up here I just bought myself a 2004 XB12s. I'm having lots of fun with it but after having it for about a month I hit some ice and dropped it at an intersection. There was no real damage to the body or anything, just broke my foot peg and clutch lever :'(. I'm looking for some tips on driving and maintaining my bike and a good place to get parts? Anything helps really : ) cant wait to get back out on my bike : ).

P.S. I was thinking about just moving my passenger peg down to the front so i could ride it while i wait for a new foot peg. Is that a bad idea? I know i wont have the spring there to keep the peg in the outward position. But i would like to be able to ride if possible : ).

Passenger pegs are good substitute for the original footpegs. You are correct - you just can't use the return spring. Most dealers can get new pegs through distribution (for now)

Parts from a GOOD dealer - otherwise classifieds here or Ebay.

ALWAYS check American Sport Bike for common parts... seriously!

Slaughter, thank you i've been having trouble looking for a good place to get parts : (. It seems like no one caries them but that place looks pretty good. Do you know of Buell Parts? Is it a reliable place?

Joel9, I live over by northgate mall, but i have a friend who lives out near Redmond so we mite see each other some time : ).

Buellsterparts.com has a good inventory of take off parts.

I have bought from them several times.
