Ok me and kevin had an executive meeting today(hot dogs and soda on the telephone)
Kevin says if they want a loud one we will give them a loud one. Now we aren't gonna do any testing on the dyno to have numbersw since this seems to be about sound levels anyways.
my guess would be we might lose a lil on the bottom but what do I know. but it will be louder.
we basically will leave out the packing.
will this make it louder .....you beta. how loud only time will tell.
What weill do is offer a discount to the first person that wants one. we will discount it$75 for the guinea pig. we can not guarentee any performance numbers but we can say we know for sure it won't break, unless of course you wreck and then all bets are off.

we will still use the stock can so ofcourse you need to send us yours.

kevin said something about those with race cans and saying maybe he could do something with those. I can't remember what so you'll have to call him at the shop at 828-324-9991.

so the grass roots efforts go on and you ask so you shall recieve. are there any takers out there.

Bubba, what happened to "function before form"?
If the numbers arent there, I dont know if I would be willing to compromise your reputation of having solid numbers just to get what amounts to another loud crappy pipe.

Don't down a louder Drummer. Everybody likes different things. Should just sell more Drummers. Can't hurt to give it a shot.

But it goes against everything Kevin & Bubba have preached since they started this venture.

I think its a bad move.

A loud Drummer would sound awesome, you'd hear it coming for miles, a big deep shakin-the-earth rumble, mixed with some near-V8 quarter-miler type sounds near the rev limit, I can see rave reviews coming for this pipe for those who dare to be loud. It will be a good sound don't worry.

I say go for it. That's what I like about you guys, ask and ye shall receive after much deliberation e.g. the Fatlet, and now the Loud One (could you call this one "The Doctor"?)

R1Squid: shut up. The only compromise you make is your own credibility every second time you post.

if you long for a loud pipe there is already the latus, jardine, D&D, Force, etc.

Why risk screwing up a good thing?

Well the whole thing is alot of people want noise so we'll call it the racing Drummer since it will be loud and its bound to make 10 more HP and bust a window or two...Who ever the pig is can do the dyno test if they would like....I would love to give you cake and let you eat it but somewhere there will always be a compromise....

now kevin do you really think 10 more hp....I can't even believe that. But I guess we will see.
so whoever is willing to provide dyno numbers for this lil venture and emails me first at
buckinfubba@hotmail.com will get the first one. the price discounted will be $325.
kevin has been right all along with his guesses of numbers so who knows. hell it might work.

dyna and dana.....I also said never say never. the drummer does have an Italian accent to an american bike, now maybe what this one will be a drunken loudmouth Italian accent at the GP races........or turn out to be just a loud mouth. trust me if the performance is badly hurt, which I don't think it will, we will not keep making it. its just that simple.

But we do listen to what people want, I have found that that is the best way to do good work. Me nor kevin are dumb enuff to think we know it all. so we listen and think about it and then make a decision. I personally would still want the drummer in its normal form. I don't need all the noise.
and I don't b think this is a compromise...it is just another branch off the tree.
I ain't sure about calling it the racing drummer tho. Maybe it should be called the annoying neighbor drummer.
we'll see....but remember I did say never say never. Kevin wants to give it a shot and I trust him so here we go.

hmmmmm . . . it's all about meeting the needs of the market . . . since this is all about sound, and not performance, perhaps you should throw in a set of chrome heel guards, since that's the direction it's moving . . . .

;-}

nope , no chrome...... we knew we get some negative comments on this. so we were ready for it.
but like I said if the performance is hurt badly we will not keep doing it.
plus we are just trying something new out.

god everyone goes nuts saying no one listens to what buellers want and here we are trying to give it a go and we are getting grief. this is just an experiment at this stage. lets see what happens.

testing is a beautiful thing....who knows maybe noone will pony up to be the guinea pig

If you want louder stock style pipe:

Gut the stock can and have it rewelded up. You can even shorten it up if you like.

Total cost: $25 for welding and a couple
of hours work tops.

hell don't worry Bubba.
I'd sell widgets that slow Buellers down if there was a market in it.
No shame at all as long as you're up front and honest, even if it's chrome.
