as many of you know i scored a firebolt here a few weeks ago. Just trying to get her in the best shape i can. I gave her a nice bath this weekend. i noticed the wheels have a nice polished lip on them but mine are stained from sitting outside. can anyone recommend some kind of polish to clean off the years of neglect would be appreciated. ill try to get a pic of what im talking about tonight, you can tell with some TLC they would really look nice. | ||

Trust me, dont try polishing your lips using your rims. | ||

If they are'nt anodized or clear coated, I would use some metal polish like flitz or blue magic or mothers aluminum polish. | ||

Nev-r Dull polishing cotton works good also. | ||

I've tried alot of polishes and find that Mothers Aluminum polish gives the best shine. It's hard work but they are beautiful when finished. | ||

simichrome available at any good motorcycle shop puts mothers polish to shame. it provides a great finish and its much easier to use | ||

Use blue magic on a polishing wheel that you put on the end of a drill it they are pitted or stained wet sand them first with 1000 grit then move to 1500 grit then polish that is what I did and they look better than new | ||

Rouge , buffing wheel & a drill = very little elbow grease. This is also the quickest way to polish your header on your bike. | ||
