I have a 2003 XB9R, I got the ECMSpy cable from American Sport Bike and it came with a cd that had a map for an XB12 and a 2004 XB9. Will the 2004 map work with my 2003? I have an open airbox and a Special Ops exhaust. Thanks for the help.

Maps are firmware dependent.
if you have a 2003 your Firmware should be BUECB050. which is the only year you can burn the race full eeprom from a BUECB060 to the ecm and get a real full early 2003 race ecm. All other years you cant mix things up. the key is if the letters dont mix the full eeprom can be burned.

As in both BUECB050 and BUECB060 share the BUECB format...
