Have an 04xb12s. Love the bike, but the longer rides are really starting to kill the wrist. Any suggestions? Would a wider grip help?? The majority of my riding is back and forth to work, which is only 10 miles. Not an issue. But on the weekends we're out doing longer rides and it sucks after 20 miles. Winter is coming....need something to work on when it's snowing. |

Don't lean forward. Wrist pain is usually due to using your arms to support your upper body. You should be using your core, not your wrists. |

Buells traction grips are a huge upgrade. the have a curve to them the fits the palm of your hand better than aflat grip. They no longer make them and I dont know what I will do when it comes time to put different grips on. |

Lower pegs will put more weight on the butt, taking a little load off the wrists... not SURE but I THINK there is a sponsor or two who makes/sells lowered footpegs. |

I used a Throttle Rocker for about a year. It worked good and helps with the wrist. |

I had problems with the straight bars that were on my 9S when I bought it. Too much weight forward. I went back to the stock bars to bring my hands up and turn them in slightly. It was just enough to make all the difference. I can put most all my weight on my butt now and have no problems. But I do need larger diameter grips. These MX ones are too small. |

Thanks for the feedback. I probably should have been more specific. I've been on two wheels for about 30 years and have had multiple sportbikes for the last 15. All of which I was really leaning over. The 12S I'm sitting pretty much straight up all the time. The pain is just in the throttle hand. So I'm sure the 20 years of clicking a mouse constantly at work is starting to take it's toll. I was looking for a grip improvement. Possibly something wider since it's seems when I open up the hand a little the pain goes away. So a wider grip might be a good place to start. Bars....I have the stock bars. |

Re; using core and not wrists. When tired I catch myself doing this and that's quite a bit of throttle closing force on hard braking. Wondering if this could promote throttle shaft breakage? |
