And Wolfie tried a 130/80/17 on his STT and it wouldn't clear the muffler, so that may be an issue depending on what bike and exhaust you are using. Makes sense, I've had the stock 120/17 hit the chin spoiler before while riding on my XB.   Yjsrule Posted on Friday, October 07, 2011 - 09:57 pm:        I had a 120/90 on my uly last fall and it fit, was very close to the chin spoiler and I had to move the lower fender up a bit. The 150 rear worked OK as well. I'd be very worried you will contact the chin/exhaust. Especially when doing the king of rough roads that would necessitate this tire. Since you're experimenting as is... why not go with a 4.6x17"? That's 116mm wide, so really not much different from stock. Unbolt the factory valve stem, throw a tube in there, and give it a try!
