It's been a few years since took a rear wheel off an XB, and I'm trying to remember if it's necessary to remove the tensioner. Don't believe it is, but a confirmation is appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

Nah, you don't need to. I've just been unbolting the caliper from the swingarm, pull the axle, then you'll be able to push the wheel forward enough to ever-so-carefully shimmy the belt off the sprocket. |

Yeah, that's what I remember. Thanks! |

Manual says to remove the tensioner. That's how I do it and I leave the caliper in place. It can be done either way though. |

I don't remove the tensioner or unbolt the caliper. Just jack it up and remove the axle. |
