It's been a few years since took a rear wheel off an XB, and I'm trying to remember if it's necessary to remove the tensioner. Don't believe it is, but a confirmation is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Nah, you don't need to. I've just been unbolting the caliper from the swingarm, pull the axle, then you'll be able to push the wheel forward enough to ever-so-carefully shimmy the belt off the sprocket.

Yeah, that's what I remember. Thanks!

Manual says to remove the tensioner. That's how I do it and I leave the caliper in place. It can be done either way though.

I don't remove the tensioner or unbolt the caliper. Just jack it up and remove the axle.
