Done.

Agreed, wear your gear. Also, don't drink and ride.

I'm sorry to hear that friend! I hope and pray that everything turns out well. I went to school in Glenwood Springs for two years and drove that section to "Junk Town" regularly to see my friend who lived there. Certainly not a fun place to be going down. Geared or no!

Sorry to hear that, let us know how he is doing.

+1 on the helmet. Shelly and I were riding the Cherohola a few weeks ago, and a guy on a Road King pulled up and both bike and rider were badly rashed. A dog had jumped out in front of him, and he tried to miss the dog and ended up going up an embankment and into a tree. He had a beanie helmet on... from the eyebrows up he was perfect. From the eyebrows down, he was rashed, red, and had a big chunk of skin flapping about on centimeter from his left eye.

Full face helmet, body armour, riding boots and gloves.
Not always comfortable but I always wear them.

My prayers are with your friend.

Ditto....prayers will be sent tonight.

PPE is needed on the job and on the rides.

"There are so many hills to climb, streams to cross and fires to share in the sweet of pursuit of all that God has given us."

I usually add that to my e-mails for my sportsman buddies, but it seems appropriate here today.

Ride safe
