i'm looking to paint the center portion of my chin fairing. thinking flat black. my question is what kind of paint.

my concerns in selecting a paint...i'm not sure how hot the plastic gets, and it obviously takes a beating from all the spray off the front tire.

any help would be appreciated.

Flat black paint should work.

I've been thinking about this also.
Except I was thinking of just ordering the black one from Buell.
Sorry I'm no help with what kind of paint to use.

before I took mine off, I was going to spray it flat black also. I was going to just use a black 'chip gaurd' or rubberized undercoating, thats if you dont mind some 'texture' -if I remember right, it is kinda ruff anyway.

I used Krylon spray paint for plastic. I think its called fusion or something. It has held up great.

you should just carbon fiber it. Even paint over it if you want. I just made a carbon faring. I will post a pic when I install it tonight if you are interested.

black_sunshine...i'd like to see the pic you post later. the krylon spray looks like the route i'll go. i'm just not digging the silver/gray color the center is now. it's always dirty and having all three pieces black would look a little better.
