Is there a spare accessory plug on an 05 firebolt?

I've seen reference to a two wire spare plug under the windscreen. On my bolt the only plug I am finding is a four wire plug which I believe is the ECM plug.

I'm looking to install a power socket for plugging in a GPS or other device. I would like to find a switched line to tap into so that it is off when the key is off.

I did not see a spare plug on the wiring diagram which is in the service manual but I could have overlooked it.

There isn't an accessory plug on the Firebolt.

Your best bet would be to hardwire and mount a female cigarette plug or similar.

If you want it to be switched on with the ignition, you could use a relay and tap into the ignition wire to control it.

Be sure to choose the appropriate size wire and install a fuse close to the battery.

A little mis-information there...

Thanks guys. Looks like I'll just connect it to the battery with a fuse. I guess if nothing is plugged in it won't run down the battery. Maybe I'll toggle switch it.

Another thought is to tap into the accessory fuse in the fuse block. Has anyone done this?

Any other recommendations?

Is the '08 plug backward compatible?

lol @ Andy...thanks

Mac - I would not tap the accessory fuse it supplies power to the gauge cluster.

The plug would be part of the wiring harness and not something that can be ordered and installed on pre-08.
