On my way home today I had a very weird occurrence. The Firebolt and I were heading north on HWY 45, just north of Mundeline, IL. I passed a Uly and gave a wave. About a mile later I stopped at a red light and a black S3 goes across in front of me. “Cool” I think, “What are the chances that I would see two Buells in a row?” So I turn left and go about a half mile and run into a translucent red Lightening. I had to pull up next to him and tell him that he was the third Buell I’d seen in less than 2 miles. Strange day.

I think that would be an outstanding way to finish the day. I would love that. I know the guys that ride the five other XB's on base at Miramar. They rarely ride them though. I ride mine every day, I love it!!

I had an instructing gig at the base in Coronado a few years back. It was only for one week, but I saw three Buells on base. Lucky bastards, with the good all year riding weather.

I've put 20,000 on my 2008. Not too bad for northern Illinois, if I do say so myself.

Yeah, can't beat year round Buelling. I just ticked 45K on mine. I got it just over a year ago and was in the sandbox for seven of those months. The roads suck until you get out away from the city. Palomar mountain and trips up to Julian with the wife for apple pie. Wouldn't trade it for the world. I'd trade my wife before my bike, just don't tell her I said that. Hahaha

In Oceanside, ready to ride. Wife will tag along on her V-Star. My other Uly is too tall for her (thank god).

Ah man, I wish I could go but busy with the family this weekend. Wife loves Julian, but not the bike.

I live only a few miles away from Ortega, we all should get together some weekend.
