Hello guys,
Do you have any idea what a 1000cc double blasted Buell would do to Lightweight club roadracing? If the horsepower and price where on par (above 70 below 10 grand) it would give some super stiff competition to Suzuki's SV650. Which currently walks all over the LW competition.
Current rules allow a 998cc, pushrod, aircooled twin to compete in any LW class according to CCS rules. Check it out at www.ccsracing.com
I'm going to be all over that thing if it comes out, and having a hell of a time winning races!
Come on Buell!

I've resigned myself to think that the coming motor is Blast! based, but still hopefull that the covers which now hide pushrods will contain a belt spinning overhead cams (or maybe something even more exotic???) in the new motor. Thankful that the full fairing will hide that ugly lump.

Don't know if I posted this here before or sacBorg, but those push rod tubes sure look like timing belt covers.

Or those covers look like a cost reduction exercise, and a gradual weening from the pushrod philosophy.

I don't know about the rest of you... er... gentlemen, but I never want to part with MY pushrod!

Clyde, who's "tube" are you referring to anyway?

Blake,

First you grab your calculator and beat up some guys dyno chart, now you're over here asking personal questions.

BTW, I'm starting a new job Tuesday in the recreational field.

Hmmmm, looks like the breather gizmo will get rerouted when the pushrod thingie becomes a timing belt thingie.

Loki, bite me
