I'm not gonna bore you guys with the troubles I've been going through with dealers over here, but it has come to a point that I no longer want to ride something that has to do with the brand. I'm selling my xb9r.

That means I have very little left to do here on the board so as the subject suggests, it's goodbye for me.

Thanx for the fun and help you guys have shared! Keep up the good work, you're a bunch of good folk.

I wish that was not the case. HD is their own worst enemy when it comes to poor support on Buell. Sorry to see you move on, but I totally understand.

Whatever you ride after this... be safe and enjoy the machine!

Dyna I saw an R6 decked out like an R1 (modeled after the red and black) with the R1 stickers and all...was like..."poser". When he wound it up...you KNEW it was an R6

Oh and Ingemar, don't take off, I still have so many ideas I need you to find the flaws of my logic in : ) Your input would be sorely missed.

thanks Ingemar. understand your wanting to move on. can't go too wrong w/ Yamaha. Now that Mr. Buell's built his bike, I'm still waiting for him to build mine, though I don't know how long I can hold out.

Ingemar, best luck on your next ride. After many a trial with the HD dealerships over here I'm not that far from taking your approach - just like the 12S too much - for the moment...

As I need to get the wife a ride I'm still not sure what will be next - I'm looking at a Mecatwin Bonnie Racer for her (raise the front bars above the clamps though) and a Duke 990 for me. The new Monster is supposed to come out in 2005 as well so who knows on that front but in any case it will be a pair of twins in the garage..

ingemar,

it's a freaking shame,
you are one off those guy's that is putting some effort in the buell "community"

as holes dealers attitude .…….
there really only interested in your wallet for a new bike, wham bam thank you mam.
And there is no use in complaining as the just give you the boot, You have a non stock …..
( fill-in ) on your bike, so your warranty is dropped………..
it’s time that some off the dealers get a good wake-up call………
as they live from our money !

If my bike were still serviced by a dealer, I think I had given up as well a long time ago

Gr,Bud

that sucks! It seems like you hear more and more stories about lame dealers...I guess I'm lucky mine is good...I agree with most of the posts here tho Ingemar, don't leave the board.

man, that would be tough to give up a 9R that looks as good as yours

This kind of stuff needs to get sent to EB. If he is going to keep his name on the product and his job as CTO, he needs to know how the dealers are impacting his bikes and his legacy.

If he can't or won't do anything about it, he should take his money and retire.

Just my opinion.

The people at Buell including Erik know these things.
On the bright side, I see more dealers "getting it" every year. I am sorry if you do not live near one of the many Buell friendly dealerships but it does seem to be getting better.
On the down side(I think) there seem to be a few dealer bailing on Buell but most of them shouldn't have been Buell dealers in the first place.
It amazes me why any dealer would quit Buell now? The bikes are the best they have ever built.
I guess it's just too much work for some dealers and sales people to actually get off their asses and work at something. It really pees me off(see I avoided the red dots on that one).
I get sooooooo fricken sick of the old tired line "Well them Buells just don't sell here" well no feces you dumb backside! Just because they don't walk out the door on their own like the Harleys have for the past 10 years or so doesn't mean that they don't sell, it means YOU don't sell them.
With HD continuing to increase production there are going to be some dealers caught with their pants down, their behinds out in the cold wind if they don't start to realize that the customer is the ONLY reason we are here. Not the other way around.
Getting off my soapbox now before I fall off.

Dang Dave, you're starting to sound like me!!!! 1 full day with the bike and no problems. Idle seems just a little erratic, maybe an air leak somewhere, I'll keep listening. I think I'll go riding!!!

Strange it be, I only have one HD dealer, the other one is almost 1000 miles away, and I think that makes a huge difference, all of a sudden this guy got to compete with the rice and spaghetti, to say that they are almost more Buell orientated would be an understatement, they are extremely proud of their Buell line and they show it. They just a bit weak on the apparel and accessories side. When I asked the owner about this, he said "Buell are for purists not posers"
