Living in New York and bought 2 bikes in Denver. Anyone savy on some place to rent or preferably buy an extremely light weight 2 bike trailer? Because I'll be toting it behind my pos CRV

Whats your price range? Craigslist is your best option for finding something cheap. I've seen enclosed trailers go for under 1K but the tongue weight may be too much for your CRV. Lowes sells landscaping trailers down here in Florida for 700. Perfect for 2 bikes, fold down ramp, heavy duty leafs ready to roll.

The trailer below would be great for one bike pulled by your CRV.

I've seen those trailers outside Lowes and they'd make perfect multi-bike transport. You could haul one and a LOAD of track gear. Buy one when you get to Denver and you'd be good to go.

Don't know how heavy your bikes are, but I towed an airhead BMW and a Commando to Daytona from Chicago behind a Chevette several times, one time with 2 other guys in the car. Only problem was climbing Lookout Mtn near Chattanooga.

I am not sure if you can rent the UHaul moto-trailer one-way. I used one to haul BOTH my S3 and my XB9 on an 1100 mile round trip.

Don't they rent flat bed trailer one way? The big question would be if they had the trailer sitting there when you want it.

Get the little landscape trailer and buy a spare tire for it. Get enough tie down straps and put some pieces of plywood under the tires.(just me) I would mount a small electric winch on the front of the trailer so I didn't have to push the bikes on.

Yeah, a trailer from Lowes or Tractor Supply would work - spare tire, definitely. Keep those wheel bearings packed. Nice to have a trailer to use once you get home.
