Would you get in trouble if you went through a web proxy?

Technically - web proxies are blocked. But I found a way around it. I can log into my SSL VPN for my civilian job, and then surf through my company's connection. And since I'm also the IT Infrastructure manager, I have admin rights and can get to pretty much any site I need to. However, this does fill up the firewall logs a little quicker than normal, so I need to limit it and let my network admin know what I'm doing. Still, it works. I'll try to post some photos a little later today, since the Afghani's are on holiday and I don't have a lot of work to do at the moment.

No sense getting in trouble over it.

If anyone wants to send me something, my address is:
CPT Christopher Carter
CJTF 1 TAC 2
FOB Lightning, APO AE 09364

We're pretty well set on most things here, but we can always use coffee, and anything else is appreciated. I get to meet my Afghani counterpart next week, and I've heard that he rides around the base on a motorcycle. I am determined to get a picture of me riding his motorcycle sometime on this tour!

Another update - please don't use that address. Just reassigned to a new job, I'll update the address once I get to the new location.

Hey Brother--
I almost flipped when I saw your pic since I did a year at FOB Kalsu, Iraq and it looked similar but then it dawned on me that all T-walls look the same hahaha and I didn't have multi-cam. Please stay safe!! When I did market walks I took pictures of the funky Indian & Chinese made bikes and the "trikes" that were modified to carry stuff to the market. They would put OCC to shame with the custom work the locals did!! Well all the best to you and your guys!!

New address, if anyone wants to send anything:
CPT Chris Carter
RSC-North
Camp Mike Spann
APO AE 09368

Brandontenn - you're right, all T-walls look the same. It took me at least a month to stop saying "Iraqi" instead of "Afghani"! There are plenty of 3 wheeled bikes over here, probably more than in Iraq. I keep thinking about looking for a servicar setup every time I see one!

1 more week of this, and then I get a couple weeks off for R&R leave. The garage is full of Buell parts, the last few pieces I need are on their way from American Sport Bike, and hopefully I'll have a running Firebolt before I have to come back here...
