this dang fuse keeps blowing...I know it powers the blinkers, dash and the rear running light but is there anything else? I have been looking all over the bike shaking wires and I can't get it to blow today but all week it has been poping them and I have been pulled over for no tail light twice because of it.

Okay, I'll bite.

What's a front position lamp?

The front position lamp is used for a parking lamp on the euro bikes.

Don't just shake wires to get it to blow again, physically look at the wires coming from the fuse to every single connector, to see if there is chaffed/exposed wiring at some place in the harness.

I am going to take a stab in the dark and say that things have been very wet and humid last week, but dried up a tad for the past two days where you live. Right? If so, I wouldn't be shocked if moisture got on a connector or on some exposed wiring and shorted the fuse.

Check the wire for the "front position lamp" as well as the other headlight wires as they pass through the opening just behind the headlight assembly. You will likely find a chafed wire that is grounding/shorting the circuit.
HTH. Let us know.

Mine blew a few times last year, then stopped. Probably was because I bought a box of fuses.

well I think I have narrowed it down to the wire that goes in to the gauges that lights up the neutral light. I say this because i electrical tape rapped those wires and it is not popping the fuse anymore and instead causing the neutral light to light up randomly while going down the road...so it is a temp fix until i can take the time to trace those wires and fine the bad one/s. I would rather have false neutral lights popping up than no tail light and blinkers any day.

also I do not have that front position lamp because I am using a firebolt wiring harness and it does not have any wires for that light so when I put the lightning front end I scrapped it besides it seemed useless...but then again i have the advantage of my lightning front end running one light on low beam and two lights on bright like the firebolt does.
