Hey guys, not used to these newer TPS reset deals...I know you don`t use a program to do it, just with the key etc..But have no ideal....

Can someone give me the easy 123 way to reset the TPS on a 2009 xb12???

- IGN ON, KILL SWITCH ON
-Engine not running
- Open Throttle to full open and keep it there for at least a second ( I count one - two - three)
- Close Throttle completely and keep it there for at least a second (again I count one - two - three)
- Open Throttle to full open and keep it there for a second
- Close Throttle completely and keep it there for a second
- Open Throttle to full open and keep it there for a second
- Close Throttle completely and keep it there for a second

After You completed this cycle (three times opening and closing) TPS should adjust itself. Unfortunately You can not see it. On a 1125 You can check it in Diag Mode.

From my '08 XB12 service manual (I believe the '09s are the same)

1. Stop/run switch to Run

2. Ign to ON. Do not start engine

3. Roll throttle from fully closed to fully open 3 times, pausing at least 1 sec at each stop.

4. Cycle Ign switch off, then on again

Indeed, very easy to do. The only hard part, as mentioned above, is figuring out if you did it right. On the 1125 you can use the gauge cluster and see the TPS reading in real time, while on the XB I am not sure of what you can do to confirm.

Either way, I recommend doing it at least twice, just in case if you didn't hold the throttle enough once and it didn't reset.

Thanks a Million, YEah My son picked up a 2009 xb12R , All i got are the older Xb`s lol so had no ideal how to do it...And yeah it was too easy..
