How much was the TB work and what size is it now?

I should probably polish my 12 TB and put it on my 9R one of these days

I live in Sac, gets very hot IMO.
Thanks

You wouldn't happen to be looking to sell the race can you had on there originally?

Also, where did you find a Micron?

Oil cooler is off a 08+ bike, tb work cost about 300 bucks, opened it up to 52mm but will be well worth it as I plan to go turbo later this year.

Micron I bought new back right after they went out, American Sport Bike had a few in stock after the crash.

Race can was traded for my swing arm and chain setup

Ive had this thing for years, It gets ridden plenty. Im just a 21 yo student man... Im not going to take it apart and put it back together half ass. If Im this far into it I might as well do everything I wanted to do to it. Stuff just gets expensive and gotta wait for parts..

I fully understand those reasons which is why my headlights cost so much and took so much time.

Looking at the pictures again... Might I suggest some modified jack stands with a little tab welded to the top that the axle can go through? It would be a lot safer than stacked on wood on a stool.

I know it looks crazy but all the wood is bolted together and is cut out to fit the muffler perfect and hold the case from both sides. Its pretty stable even though it doesn't look it.

What size valves and what cams and RPM are you running to need that much flow through the intake?

If you are pumping a whole lot more air, you might consider the high pressure fuel regulator otherwise you might have trouble tuning.

No engine work yet, I got another engine on a bench im trying to get going. Debating on going big bore or turbo. I already have a HP reg and some injectors im going to put in on the next build.

I know its overkill on a stock engine as like you said its only going to flow as much as it can, but throttle response is always welcomed, and im sure its going to scream out that stack now under load.

Just gets one less thing to do out of the way of future builds.

Man I wish I had the money and time to do this kind of work on my bike. All I can afford is a Jardine exhaust and homemade blinkers. I also ride mine too often to have it apart long enough to do such in depth work.

Why did you decide to make it a chain drive?

Seems to be a problem with me..

Ive broken belts on like 5 different bikes. I ride my bikes pretty hard.

Any belt bike I ride will go chain asap, or atleast until I break the belt. Which hasnt failed yet.

No offense but after 5 belts I would begin to think its not the belts.

Well 2 of the 5 had ~130hp, the other two were all done doing stand up wheelies at high speeds. They dont like having load, then no load, then dropping the clutch from redline.

The chain is a little more forgiving doing wheelies burnouts and drag racing.

Im not going to hanicap my riding because of a limitation on my bike. Like I said these are my toys, I dont need them to be riden every day, as a result they get the full beating.

Well FXR in the pic snapped from wheelies, same with both my tuber and my XB. Burnouts usually are easy on the belts because the tire is the breaking point. When your coming around a turn with it pitched out, then run out of gear and have to clutch dump the next gear to keep it sideways and it grips is when they seem to have issues.

New style mount is WAY better... so much less movement when on the bike

'03 Style in the back, '10 up close

I don't see the difference other than the 03 seems to lost the rubber piece.

The rubber is significantly different between the versions, I think the metal is larger diameter in the new one which allows for a better contact with the rubber. As far as which one works better, I have no idea other than my stock 03 started to fail so there was a huge improvement as soon as I put the new one on.

Mine wasn't different except for the fact it was new and clean. I used the old one and it is fine.
