I'm looking at both bikes and deciding which to purchase. Any tips or information on the positives and negatives about them? |

Ride them both, they are both great bikes with different pluses and minuses. What do you currently ride? Do you like it? Do you want something different? Your profile says you already have a 9SX, if thats true you know what that is about, have you ridden a Firebolt before? |

well it depends on your riding style, were your going to do your riding at long trips or short trips... for me I have a combination of the two with my bike. if your going to do a lot of urban riding and things like that the sx is the way to go. track days and lots of canyon riding with not much high way or in town stuff the r is the way to go. a mix of the 2 types of riding probably the sx. the r is more purpose built were as the sx would be a better all around bike in my opinion. |

I've got an s and an r, I prefer the s for everyday riding and the r for the faster stuff |

personally (and that's all you'll get here ispersonal opinions....you need to take them as that and combine them with your needs/wants), i'd take the City-X over the 'bolt all day long. I MUCH prefer the 9 motor to the 12, as well as the Lightning riding position over the 'bolt. And contrary to some other opinions already shared, I'd take the City-X over the Firebolt in the twisties as well. for what it's worth, I own an XB9S an XB12X. Daily I wish my X had the 9 motor in it. |
