I have a 2009 xb12scg and the header bolts seem to be rusting very quickly. Has this happened to others?

I don't have a picture right now, but I can post one tomorrow.

Thanks,
Nick

Yup, they are just regular steel bolts and they rust. Nothing you can do except pull them out and put stainless in there.

Also, those header studs take a lot of abuse. Many stainless fasteners are not rated, so don't buy cheap ones- it's a pits to remove a broken steel header stud, it's a REAL beyotch trying to remove a stainless one!

I bought the ones from American Sport Bike, since my heads are off I should probably change them before I break one of the rusty things off.
