Last night on my way home from work a piece of road debris punctured my stock oil filter. Fortunately, this happened very close to home and I was able to push/coast it home, but i did ride it for about a minute after the oil light came on. Anyone think this will cause a problem?
It'll be easy to fix (already have a new K+N on the way), but a nightmare to clean up. Everything from the filter back is literally covered in oil!

That's pretty crazy. You'll be fine, ride and enjoy your bike!

Most of the bearings are roller type, and most of the rest as not a pressure type so you should be fine. You choices are to fill with oil and ride, or do a complete tear down. You should know if the first 2 minutes of running it if damage has been done.

If you were running a high sheer strength oil you should be ok, provided there was SOME oil left in the case and the RPM's were low.

Dawn dish soap for the oily underside. It was designed for grease and oil. Don't wash the whole bike with it, just the oily part. And rinse well.
One minute, put in fresh oil and ride.
