Hey Guys,

I have a 2009 XB12Scg with a Special OPS exhaust and a Erik Buell Racing Race ECM. Which spark plugs do you guys recommend for this setup? I'm coming up on the 10,000 mile mark and I don't want to use the Harley plugs.

Thanks,
Nick

Thanks Arctic, but the stock plugs are the Harley plugs.

The stock plugs are a fine plug made by champion I believe. There are no performance gains to be had from spark plugs. They do however use different materials on the electrode to enhance longevity and heat resistance. As long as you get the right heat range and physical size brand is completely personal preference.

Question for terry1980: where did you get that number for the ngk plug? Their web site and books I've used don't list a plug for the xb12.

The NGK website recommends the DCPR8EIX but if you cross reference the 10R12A Harley Plug you come up with the DCPR9EIX.

exactly, stock plugs are just fine. benefits of after market plugs are so minimal.... i'm a firm believer of run what is designed to work right, why deviate from what is known to work just fine. if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Stock plugs +1. Fairly cheap.

Only time I deviate from stock plugs are in my turbo cars. . .1 step colder there.
