It's not much to look at yet, needs cleaned up and I'll probably make a design change for how it mounts at the back end. Also in need of a polishing job, but that's for later. 100% 304 stainless steel construction, so it should last a while.

No video or sound clips just yet.

Will you offer a quieter stainless option?

Quieter = sound of stock xb12 with internal valve open.

Will you offer a mild steel version for those who want to paint or do a thermal coating of some kind?

I make an insert for the 1125's and its the same size for the xb, should help tone it down a bit. Its actually not that loud, most definitely quieter than the 1125 pipes I make. Add the insert and it should be closer to what you want. I will try to get a video soon.

Powder coating or ceramic will work on stainless just fine from what I have seen. Haven't done it myself, just reports back from guys that have done it. I prefer to only work with stainless, getting these shells cost a small bit of change since I had to buy a bunch all at once.

As of right now, I am listing them at $499 + $35 shipping. Polishing will be extra. I will see about getting this one shined up this weekend if possible.

What about the chin fairing? I love the exhaust but would want to keep my chin fairing.

I think he's working on it. I talked to him last night about it. His test bike happens to be my wife's bike and while she was very impressed with the sound and look of the SS muffler. She wants to keep the chin fairing. I'm sure Dean will figure something out in time. He's a busy guy now-a-days.

Free shipping for the rest of the week on all the custom systems I make. I'm only a few weeks behind at this point (3-4 maybe) so the wait won't be too bad unless someone gets carried away with the ordering like the last time.

Working on it, but it will add to the cost. Still need to get it on a dyno, waiting on the tags for it since they expired last month.

"...waiting on the tags for it since they expired last month."

I told you my wife's purse ate them. They should be on the way. I locked the front door last week and told her she couldn't come home till she mailed them.

Either way, the DOT got their money. LOL

Got the tags, had a nice ride to/from work on Friday and will probably do it again this week. I'm going to try getting it in for a dyno run this week if possible.

I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but here goes... Have you ever thought about making a stock replacement exhaust that has the same internal construction for sound level and jacking and mounting? Having a stainless exhaust would be nice, but I don't want louder and don't want to lose the ability to jack with the exhaust. Just a thought for your market research.

No flames, I agree 100%. If i wasn't running a Micron I would want to be on something stockish. It would be popular with the Uly guys who prefer stock when touring, especially if it can go 5 minutes without rusting.

The rust is one of my issues with the stock exhaust, also the stainless might be slightly lighter. I would also want the fairing mounts included (in stainless) so that the bike looks stock. I would want unpolished to save cost, if I want it to look different a scotchbrite in a drill to scuff it a little would be my choice (brushed look) or maybe high temp black to look like stock.

Sure, it can probably be done, but stainless averages 2x the cost over mild steel from what I've seen. Doing one up withe the exhaust valve, I don't even want to guess at the cost. I haven't even reallly looked at the internal tubing other than just a glance at some drawings posted here.

I forget about that valve since I have a 9, that might push it beyond reasonable since you would need a donor for each new muffler.
