But it might make your wife feel more comforatable being there just in case. The bike is primarilly for my fun ! But I think she is just more comfortable having something behind her. Our last suzuki had handles, but nothing behind her. But the RF has a bigger seat then the XB. Just something to put her at easy. I won't be hammering on the bike like I do without her. HA
