Those lights are not suitable as headlights. They simply don't put out the kind of beam needed to ride faster than bicycle speeds. Used similar as accessory lights on the harleys for years. Kuryakin(?) sold them as lazers or somesuch. Visible to others is not the same as being able to see!! Put that over a pair of XB headlamps and... you'll be seen as well as able to see. Never ride faster in the dark than your headlights.. DAMHIK.

I agree and respect that comment. Around here we call that over riding your headlights. I'm thinking that this item uses the original headlight and solely provides the front end cowling. I could be mistaken. Let me know.
