I have two XB's, one is an '09 XB12scg with a drummer and 6K on the clock, the other is a '10 XB9sx and about 4K on its clock.
Are there good reasons to keep one over the other. I love riding them both. The 12 has more grunt, but the 9 is smoother.
One has to go thanks to pesky financial issues.

It is a preference thing, they are similar yet different, it won't be an easy choice. People ask me if I like my 1125R more than my CR, and it is hard to answer as they are similar yet totally different.

I guess if you can only have one, which one do you consider the better all-rounder for your type of riding?

engine aside which one has more time left on the warranty? That is the one I would keep just in case something bad does happen with it(not saying it will)

You may have your own reasons for keeping one or the other, but I would keep the 9 for 2 reasons: 1) I much prefer the 9 motor, and 2)

Only 40 2010 9SX's were made for the US! (plus all of the other 2010 benefits)

Do those #'s include Canadian and overseas production? How did you get the data?

They do not include anything but domestic. I've got the excel spreadsheets from the tie frame days....... Just no time to sort 13,000 lines from 1998.

It is fun to see "special" bikes which include the prototypes ... Media .... Tech pubs ...photo .... DM .... COV and "special purpose" ( like Karen's Black Lightning and the fabled "Barney") .... As well as the ROC and experimental bikes.

There was a chapter entitled "Special Buells" that ended up on the cutting room floor ..... It had a number of contributions from folks who had cameras where they should not have.

:-)

Are you financing both? I would keep the bike with the smaller balance.

Keep the 9, being it's the last year of production. You will have the curiosity of any motorcycle enthusiasts.

Thanks for everyones ideas, it helped me a lot. I'm keeping the 9, and I think finding out how few were built was exciting to know I have one of the eleven cherry bomb 9's
in the USA.

The 12, because the 9 is junk.

I'll be by to pick up your 9 for $1500. =D

The 2010 three bearing rear wheel is nice to have in favor of the 9 too.
