Turn on ignition. Hold down both the buttons on the instrument panel until the display starts blinking. The left button adjusts the hour, the right one the minutes. When the time is set, press both buttons until the display stops blinking. Start up, ride away. Arrive on time. | ||

1. Turn key to on. 2. Press mode M button to toggle to clock display. 3. Simultaneously (that means at the same time) press M and R button for 2 seconds or until clock display flashes. 4. Press M button to set hours and press R button to set minutes. 5. After time has been set, simultaneously (remember now, that means at the same time) press M button and R button to exit setting mode and start clock operation. Now post a photo of your watch or tell me where Mickey's hands are pointing and I will tell you what time it is so you can set the XB clock! Just remember and tell everyone... a oinker no clue dick monkey ••• stoopid cop told you how to do this! ...and a rocket scientist! Heh, my dealer did not show me how to set the clock. Nor did they check the air pressure in the tires or suggest that I really ought to wait until they had a chance to have the suspension set for my weight. On a side note - if anyone wonders why the clock resets itself when you start the bike [XB's], your battery is low. I spent a week or two this spring wondering if I had a problem or not... | ||

Oh, and I did not have to RTFM to figure out how to set my clock. I get wireless access on my laptop via Bluetooth / GPRS. Maybe that has something to do with it?  | ||

I only weigh about 140lbs. Book settings leave the bike very squirrely for lighter riders. Skated thru a turn. | ||

You'd be surprised. I've seen plenty of people on full dressers, Goldwings included, who could make those things dance. The cops that were at Homecoming a few years ago doing battletrax were amazing in that regard. I agree with Midknyte, though. I weigh about that the suspension settings from the book do not feel right at all. | ||

Re. suspension settings for 140lb rider, try starting from real soft and then stiffen it as required. Zero preload on the rear spring and just enough damping to make it all work, for example, on the rear end. Definitely keep notes on what's set where. |
